Portrait of Modern Hunter Gatherer Dan Terminiello, standing with a tea towel tucked into his shorts.
"I contracted Covid-19 in early March. I first thought I had a flu but then it got progressively worse. I lost 10 pounds in 9 days. I was in bed for 19 days! All while isolating myself from my family. I didn't get hospitalized. I couldn't get out of bed, literally didn't have the capacity to walk down the stairs. There wasn't much in the way of support at that time because it was very early in the cycle and my doctor miss-subscribed me antibiotics which wasn't good The thing that struck me the most was that being a very mentally really active individual, I thought I sit in bed and work on my laptop, but I couldn't do it - I was literally sleeping 15 hours a day. I didn't have the capacity to write a text. I was in quite a delusional state it just took over completely. And thinking that in my 25 years of owning my business I have had four days off sick - I normally just plough through any sickness, but this thing just knocked me off my feet. Even though there is this a greater community spirit there is still this underlying: "Who brought it in? who's fault was it? "I think there is less tolerance within our society now, because everyone's lives has been affected."
