"I used to go to the smaller corner shops at the beginning. There is a Turkish off-license, quite big and stocked with everything. But they didn't control the amount of people that came in and the staff didn't wear any masks or gloves. I understand that they might have had difficulty finding the protective equipment because I found it impossible to buy masks and gloves. I had to make my own. But I think it is necessary that people in service positions protect themselves and the customers."
"But I am lucky because my boyfriend works in a restaurant which has converted to a deli during lockdown. So If I need a few things he can bring them home without me having to go out."
