Bor is a town in Eastern Serbia known only for copper mines and copper processing. Founded one century ago by the French who had concessions on mining, after WWII it was one of the largest industries in communist Yugoslavia. In 2018 it was sold to Chinese company ZiJin which massively expanded both, mining and production of copper, silver and gold. Bor is for decades most polluted town in Serbia and one of the most polluted in Europe. Village bordering mine live in fear of the mine as it already came to the houses of the village but they still don't have informations if they need to be relocated.
