About me
I am a free lance photo-journalist and documentary photographer based in Devon, UK. I started out covering music festivals for a major stage provider in the UK, covering Glastonbury Festival to Boom Town and everything in-between. Gradually I found myself covering social/political events, which eventually became my main focus for my photography. I thrive on live news stories, especially those that are fast paced and full of energy and the unexpected, I also love to interact with people and create portraits of strangers in amongst the fray. I also cover a wide range of British traditional cultural events, for example, Montol Festival in Cornwall, Earl of Rhone in North Devon. I like to seek out the unusual and striking events that make the UK so unique. I am happy to travel to cover events. My work has been exhibited at a solo exhibition at The National Arts Festival (NAF) festival of performing arts in Grahamstown, South Africa, and a solo show at the Hull International Photography Festival. I hope to use my photography to express the feminine side of what is still a very male dominated industry, most of my male colleagues are very easy to get along with though and have become friends along the way.
