Chiara Luxardo

About me

Chiara is a documentary photographer and artist based in London.

A member of Women Photograph, in her work she explores identities, relationships and gender issues.
She lived and worked in Myanmar from 2015 to 2019, where she focused on LGBTIQ+ projects and the organisation of Yangon Pride.

Editorial clients and publications include: The Financial Times, Internazionale, Days Japan, M Le Monde, The Guardian, Vogue Italia, Bloomberg Businessweek, L'Obs, IO Donna, Lufthansa Magazin, Nikkei Asian Review.

NGO clients and institutions include: The European Institute for Gender Equality, Hear the world Foundation, WCS Wildlife Conservation Society, CESVI, Istituto OIKOS.

Recent awards include: This is Gender Global Health 5050 (shortlisted, 2021), Portrait of Humanity (shortlisted, 2020), Pride Photo Award (Unique category, 2019).
