About me

I am an Irish photographer with over fifteen years experience. My background is in commercial work, having spent six years working as a freelance assistant in Dublin. I have also worked as a studio manager and have a wealth of experience with production in studio and on location.

I shoot editorial, portrait, interior, architecture, theatre, promotional, unit stills, product and fine art reproduction. I approach all projects and assignments with sensitivity. I like to bring stillness, contemplation and gravitas to my work and encourage viewers to take their time absorbing my images.

I graduated from Ulster University in 2020 with an MFA in Photography. My graduate series Sleeping Dogs Lie relates to developmental and interpersonal trauma, specifically implicit memory and the freeze response. My artistic practice is primarily concerned with trauma responses and the psychology of space.

In 2021 I was nominated by PhotoIreland as an Irish Talent for the Futures European Photography Platform. In the same year I became a recipient of the Irish Arts Council Agility Award. This award is assisting me in developing Sleeping Dogs Lie as a video piece.

My work has been exhibited in Dublin, Belfast, London, Copenhagen and Amsterdam and is held by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and The Office of Public Works. Private collections are held in Ireland, the USA and Canada.

I am also an associate lecturer at IADT Dun Laoghaire and have led workshops at the Gallery of Photography Dublin, Axis Ballymun and D-light Studios.
