About me
A Canadian multi-disciplinary artist and writer, Taylor strives to translate the human experience into the realm of the tangible through art - both verbal and visual. They have a passion for the raw and organic along this journey we call life, and feel that analog photography offers an interactive, sharable route for getting inside the inner-worlds of one another through the capturing of light in real time. Analog is intimate, delicate, and demands intention and focus. The outcome exists at the mercy of the photographer's hands, and in this way it is subject to human imperfection, holding here the most virtuous of beauty.
Diving deeper, Taylor combines their background in dance and performance, their passion for the written word, and their curiosity within contemporary visual art and photography, with their studies in Communications, Art History, Feminist Theory and Design for Theatre at Concordia University in Montreal, and Fashion Design at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Their cumulative artistic, somatic, and literary practice comes together as a holistic exploration of identity, movement, sexuality, and how the embodied subject navigates space and the natural world.
